Thanksgiving and Christmas Projects

Since I've had a few days off work, I've been spending alot of time on my projects. Travis has been out in his garage so I've had alot of free time. First of all, Thanksgiving was great. The food was awesome and it was really nice to watch the parade with my family. Here is the page I made from that day.

Abbey has chewed up the Christmas card that I had made from a previous post. I was so mad at her! Well, I wasn't sure I was completely happy with it anyways, so I made this one instead. I've made about 4 out of 26 :-(...

This last project I just did. I got the idea from Simple Scrapbooking Magazine. They had so many great ideas in there I have a bunch of pages marked that I want to do. I also found an awesome new tool to use called Journaling Genie. You get an invisible ink pen and trace out the pattern and journal along the lines that make different shapes and the ink goes away in a day or so. Here is a link...

Anyways, here is what I made...I hope Abbey doesn't chew it up before Christmas!

A Change of Mind

So I know I change my mind all the time. It's no surprise. I got to looking at my pages for my recipe album and decided to change them to more my style. Here is what I have so far...

My Cover Page. The picture is of my Grandma Warner. She is the one who all the recipes are from that are going in my album. She was a great cook, but more so, a great person. I miss her alot.

Recipe Scrapbook Album Class

The class tonight was so much fun! It is a different type of album than I'm used to doing, but I think it will turn out great. I told Anna that I know I am just going to want to stay up all night and work on it. And I could not believe that they gave us binders and supplies for free. It was definately a worthwhile thing, and plus I learned a new technique from Anna.
Here is my cover page...

This is another divider page that I did...

I also when shopping today for supplies to make our Christmas cards. I do not have an inside message put together yet, but here is what I have done so far.

Family Group Sheet

I have been working most of the week on these family group sheets for my heritage scrapbook. And since I lost most of my research on my computer when it crashed, I'm having to go back and do alot of it over to get names and dates of older ancestors. This page is of my dad's parents and their children. I got the paper at Makin Memories and all of the supplies too.

Scrapbook Night

Tonight is "Scrapbook Night" for my mom and I. We get together every Tuesday evening to make an album of my childhood pictures. Since I love to scrapbook, it's just a bonus that I get to spend time with my mom at the same time.

Here is tonight's page called "Baby Face". Thanks to Anna for giving me the tip to use Basic Grey matching paper, that's what I used for this page. Since she taught me a few new things I can see where my pages are getting better.

My Scrapbook Blog

I have been making alot of pages lately so I thought it would be best to make a special blog devoted to scrapbooking.

My friend Anna came over today to make some pages. It was great spending time with her again. I haven't seen her in a long time, so hopefully we'll be seeing more of each other. She was able to teach me a few new techniques. So now I'll have some new things to try. I'm really excited. Her pages are amazing, so check out her scrapbook blog here.

Here are a few pages I've done. The one titled "Pieces of me" is the one Anna helped me with today. It was made with Basic Grey paper I believe. The page titled "My Puppies" is one that I made last week. I got the idea from Creating Keepsakes Magazine.
